The main focus of this transformation was to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/en\/cames-5-pillars-of-innovation-and-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reduce waste and maximise value<\/a>, with a focus on customer needs. By adopting Lean principles, we at Came have embarked on a path that involved all personnel in the various projects, with the aim of studying and implementing the best solutions.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The value for Came is customer centricity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>For us at Came, the concept of value is closely linked to what customers perceive as such. Any activity or process that does not directly contribute to generating value for the customer is essentially considered to be waste, and is therefore eliminated or reduced. This vision has led us at Came to focus on <a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/en\/3-benefits-of-the-came-process-for-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">customer centricity<\/a>&nbsp;in all the activities we carry out.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Efficiency and quality, an evolutionary path in the plants<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The first to benefit from this new philosophy was the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/en\/our-new-services-for-brushless-direct-current-wound-stators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winding<\/a> sector, followed by the die-casting and mechanical machining sectors. Adopting the Lean methodology brought significant structural and organisational changes that helped improve production process efficiency and quality for the benefit of our customers&#8217; products.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Extending Lean to services<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In recent years, we have expanded the application of Lean principles to services, an area that is increasingly crucial for customers. The engineering departments were also involved in integrating clear, streamlined procedures, supported by strong digitalisation, such as the services available&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/portal.came-italy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the Came customer portal<\/a>, to improve the effectiveness and transparency of the service provided to the customer.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Continuous improvement to meet customers\u2019 new needs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Continuous improvement is a cornerstone of the Lean project in Came, not only as a methodology, but as a real cultural change. The constant search for innovative solutions to offer customers ever greater value has been consolidated over time.
