It was not about accelerating development, but stopping at the right time to verify the technical choices, constructional approach and real sustainability of the project from a production perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The technical starting point was a compact BLDC with 6-pole stator, designed for applications in which every detail counts:<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">small size,<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reliable insulation,<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">long-term repeatability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The customer contacted us with an active part already designed, but without any direct industrialisation experience. The request was clear: to have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/it\/i-vantaggi-per-i-nostri-clienti-della-customer-service-allinterno-dellarea-operations\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">full support<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, capable of transforming a good technical project into something truly manufacturable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An external studio had developed the electromagnetic design, while everything related to insulation and production integration was entrusted to us at Came.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>The value of insulation co-design<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a customer that has no industrialisation experience, the biggest risk is discovering problems too late. So we at Came<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/it\/3-vantaggi-per-i-clienti-del-processo-came\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provided a co-design service<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, starting with the head and cap insulation as a key element to reduce uncertainties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We designed the geometries with a single goal:<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">avoid critical solutions,<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">simplify the winding,<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make pre-assembly reliable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not just about designing a component, but predicting what will happen when the project becomes real.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Prototype now to reduce the risk<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make the choices verifiable, we chose a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/it\/video-electric-motors-high-performance-co-design-and-optimisation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very concrete approach<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. At Came, we made the insulation caps using 3D printing so that they could be validated quickly without incurring high costs. At the same time, we developed temporary tooling specifically for this initial phase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This made it possible to pre-assemble the prototype and really assess the solutions adopted, before any final investment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>A prototype to confirm the choices<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project ended with a complete prototype, consistent with the initial goals. In addition to the wound and insulated stator, we at Came are able to support the customer with prototyping the synchronous reluctance rotor or permanent magnet synchronous rotor to verify<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/it\/i-benefici-per-i-clienti-del-servizio-came-rd-presentati-nel-nostro-nuovo-video\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the feasibility of the project<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>What really matters to the customer<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the customer&#8217;s perspective, the result is not just a working prototype. It is the ability to proceed with greater certainty, knowing that the choices made have been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/came-italy.com\/it\/i-servizi-came-per-dare-soluzioni-al-cliente\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">validated empirically<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
