What is the webinar about?

In the webinar, we will explore the effectiveness of Came technical support through two actual case studies:

    • The first covers making a BLDC prototype, with full support during co-design, insulation development, 3D prototyping and technical validation.
    • The second is dedicated to optimising insulation for motors powered by inverters, in accordance with IEC EN 60034-18-41, with the aim of increasing robustness to electrical interference (Partial Discharge) and improving the IVIC level.

We will discuss how to apply a co-design approach that involves design and production, best practices for rapid prototyping and electrical insulation, how to identify and overcome critical issues in production right from the concept stage, and the concrete performance, quality and cost benefits that Came can bring.

13 April: the Spin and Came webinar on the differences between distributed and concentrated winding - Completed

29 March 2023

Spin, a company active in designing, prototyping and industrialising electric motors and electromechanical devices, invited Fabrizio Bardelli, R&D expert at Came, to speak in the webinar on the differences between distributed and concentrated winding.

The webinar will focus on design from a technological perspective and Fabrizio Bardelli will talk about the pros and cons of winding design solutions and how they affect electric motors in terms of efficiency, cost saving and sustainability.

The webinar will be moderated by Luigi Rizzi, Technical Director of Spin, and the speakers will be Alberto Rubino, Electrical Engineer at Spin, and Fabrizio Bardelli.

Tue 28 Feb, join the webinar: Electronics and mechanics for future mobility - Completed

21 February 2023

The webinar Electronics and mechanics for future mobility: Electric motor: smaller size for better performance organised by the Electric Motor Engineering magazine will be held at 10:00 on Tue 28 Feb, and Came will be taking part with its R&D expert Fabrizio Bardelli.

What is the webinar about?
The entire automotive industry will have to adapt its production model to accommodate an irreversible transformation. The whole power line will have to be rethought; smaller, lighter electric motors will need to ensure high performance and reliability. Everything needs to be re-engineered with new solutions; on-board, control and powertrain management electronics will be increasingly important.

What will our R&D expert talk about?
Fabrizio Bardelli will talk about the pros and cons of winding design solutions and how they affect the efficiency of electric motors. Fabrizio will also detail the relationship between design and testing, how partial discharges have an impact on electric motor life and what solutions can be adopted to reduce the effect.

The webinar will be open to everyone and moderated by Prof. Marco Villani.
